Member Previews: Art of Manga

Members: Be among the first to experience Art of Manga , the first major exhibition in the Americas to explore Japanese comics and graphic novels as an art form, before its public opening at the Brooklyn Museum. Marking its East Coast debut, the Brooklyn Museum’s presentation is packed with more than 600 drawings that showcase manga’s immersive power and social impact. Don’t miss this rare opportunity for US audiences to encounter an astonishing selection of original manga artworks, including examples from beloved series Inuyasha , JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure , Ōoku: The Inner Chambers , ONE PIECE , and many more. You’ll also have the chance to preview Hopi Kachina Dolls: Blessings for a Balanced World and Cézanne to Modigliani: Gifts of Modern Art from the Pearlman Collection , both opening to the public on October 2. Free for Members; registration is required and available starting in August. Standard Membership admission benefits apply. On Thursday, October 1, the exhibition galleries will close at 4 pm.
