Art History Happy Hour: Art of Manga
Get nerdy about manga, the artists who create it, and the readers who fan over each release! We’re celebrating Art of Manga in this installment of Art History Happy Hour, our informative and lighthearted lecture series. Grab a drink and enjoy presentations on manga by Nicole Coolidge Rousmaniere, Deputy Director General, MOA Museum of Art; Joan Cummins, Lisa and Bernard Selz Senior Curator of Asian Art, Brooklyn Museum; Pauline Vermare, Phillip and Edith Leonian Curator of Photography, Brooklyn Museum; and Kofi Bazzell-Smith, Assistant Professor of Art, Rochester Institute of Technology. Afterward, ask questions in a Q&A session and experience the exhibition—the first in the Americas to explore manga as an art form—after-hours. Tickets are $30 and include access to Art of Manga and one specialty drink. Additional beverages are available for purchase. Member tickets are $18. Not a Member? Join today! Manga Fan Pass holders get first dibs on tickets starting October 27—stay tuned for an email! Public and Member tickets are available starting October 29.
