The Collective Rules

These are our non negotiables.
This is how we protect the "TMC" standard.
1. The Speakeasy Detail:

If it’s on the wall plaque, it doesn’t belong here. We want the "hush-hush" facts that the guards won't tell you.

2. Passion over Pedagogy:

Talk to us like that one teacher who changed your life. We want the energy of a late-night conversation, not a lecture.

3. The "Anti-Google" Test:

If ChatGPT can write it, we don't want it. We want your deep-rooted, "unseen" insights.

4. Active Interrogation:

Don't just give facts; give a mission. Make the explorer find the hidden symbol that changes the whole story

FAQ

1. What language should my guide be in?

Every language is a key to a new audience. Whether you write in English, French, Spanish, or beyond—every version you upload counts as a unique guide in the Collective. We want the world to hear these stories in every tongue.

2. Is this for museums only?

No. We love landmarks just as much. Whether you’re spilling the tea on a Renaissance artist or revealing which cave held the largest dinosaur, we’re here for it. If it’s worth seeing, it’s worth an "off-the-record" story.

3. Who should my guide be directed to?

The best storytellers know their audience. We recommend tailoring your "Off-the-Record" versions for one of three paths:

Modern Nomads:
Fast-paced, unfiltered, and bold—for the young adults and teenagers looking for the "now.
"
Families: High-stakes storytelling that engages the whole crew without watering down the truth.
Life-Long Learners:
For the connoisseurs who appreciate the deep-dive nuances and historical grit.

4. Is there a limit on how many guides I can add?

None. Your expertise shouldn't be capped. The more "Intelligence Files" you contribute, the larger your footprint in the Collective becomes.

5. I don’t see my museum or landmark on the list!

No worries—even the best scouts miss a hidden gem now and then. Just let us know which location or landmark you’re eyeing, and our team will add it to the system immediately.

6. Where should I send my credentials?

We value the expert behind the story. Please send your bio, credentials, or "proof of passion" to hello@themuseumcollective.com. Our curators will review your file and finalize your initiation.

7. How do creators get paid?

Creators set their content and pricing, and earn money each time their guide is purchased or downloaded. As downloads and reviews grow, earnings increase accordingly. The Museum Collective keeps a percentage to operate and grow the platform, and each creator’s percentage is determined based on their credentials and the quality of their material. Revenue share details are shared privately via email during onboarding, and creators provide their payment account at signup so earnings can be sent directly to them.
