Curator-Led Member Tour: Art of Manga
Members: Go beyond the page and spend an evening exploring Art of Manga , the first major exhibition in the Americas to examine manga as an art form. Joan Cummins, Curatorial Chair and Lisa and Bernard Selz Senior Curator of Asian Art, will provide unique insights into the artistry, innovation, and storytelling behind manga, a global phenomenon. Marking the exhibition’s East Coast debut, the Brooklyn Museum’s presentation of Art of Manga is packed with more than 600 drawings that showcase manga’s immersive power and social impact. Don’t miss this rare opportunity for US audiences to encounter an astonishing selection of original manga artworks, including examples from beloved series Inuyasha , JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure , Ō oku: The Inner Chambers , ONE PIECE , and many more. The tour begins at 6:30 pm. Meet in the first-floor lobby at 6 pm to mingle with fellow Members over a complimentary glass of wine.
