Curator-Led Member Tour: Cézanne to Modigliani

Members: Join Lisa Small, Senior Curator of European Art, for an exclusive tour of Cézanne to Modigliani: Gifts of Modern Art from the Pearlman Collection . This exhibition celebrates the transformative gift of the renowned Henry and Rose Pearlman Collection. On view are more than 50 modern European masterpieces by artists including Paul Cézanne, Amedeo Modigliani, Edgar Degas, Paul Gauguin, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Chaïm Soutine. While showcasing these exemplary artworks, which disrupted centuries of academic traditions, the exhibition introduces their collectors’ quintessential American and Brooklyn story. Small will share insights into the exhibition’s development, the significance of the Pearlmans’ extraordinary gift, and some of the collection’s most beloved works. The tour begins at 6:30 pm. Meet in the first-floor lobby at 6 pm to mingle with fellow Members over a complimentary glass of wine.
